When choosing a home charger, you can choose between a charger with a socket or with a fixed cable.

Socket (type 2):

This means that the home charger is equipped with a socket into which you can plug a separate charging cable. In this case, the charging cable that came with the car is usually used.

Example of a home charger with a socket:

Alfen Eve Single S-line | Betechsmart

Fixed cable:

This means that the home charger is equipped with a fixed cable to connect your car. This means you do not have to use the car's separate charging cable every time. The fixed cable can be 5m or 7.5m long.

Cables longer than 7.5m are not permitted according to the applicable guidelines.

Example of a home charger with a fixed cable:

ALFEN Single S-Line 3F 7,5m kabel | SMARTCHARGERS

Please note:

Extension cables can be found on the internet, we strongly advise against their use as we cannot guarantee their correct operation and safety.
