We have noticed that there is a bug in the Alfen EVE-Connect app that can seriously disrupt the operation of our load balancing and Smart Charging functionality.
Description of the issue
One of the settings in the Alfen EVE-Connect app is the ability to manually limit the charging power with a slider. Once this setting is triggered, it will put a non-reversible parameter on the wall box.
From that moment on, the home charger ignores our entire load balancing Smart Charging functionality.
⚠ The only way to undo this setting is to have a technician come to the scene. We therefore strongly advise not to use this app.
Blossom has investigated this problem and reported it to Alfen. They are looking for a solution.
