The Blossom Smart Charging solution sends data from the digital meter to a cloud environment. This allows us to smartly manage your home charger based on total household energy consumption and any energy surpluses. We only have access to the data from the digital meter and base our management on this information.

Blossom Smart Charging monitors your home's energy consumption through the digital meter. Based on this, we determine how much energy is available to smartly charge your electric vehicle. If there is an energy surplus, such as from solar power, it is used to charge your car. However, if you have a home battery supplying power to your home, we cannot detect this separately. The data we receive from the digital meter only includes the total household energy consumption, without specific details about the energy source, such as from a home battery. This means we cannot distinguish between energy from the battery and other sources.

Our supplier of Smart Charging technology is currently conducting tests to explore how home batteries can be integrated into our system. These are still in the trial phase and are not yet offered to consumers. Once a functional solution becomes available, we will inform our customers.

At the moment, tests with home batteries are limited to internal trials. As soon as it is possible to participate in a test program or when this solution becomes available for consumers, we will announce it.

We keep our customers updated on new developments through newsletters, our website, and direct communication. You can subscribe to our newsletter or regularly check our website to stay informed about the latest updates.
