The maximum length of a charging cable for electric vehicles is 7.5 meters.
This limitation is important because only cables up to this length can receive CE certification. All charging station manufacturers, including those we work with, adhere to this standard. Offering a longer cable is not possible, as such cables are not produced and cannot be approved without a CE mark.
Although extension cables can be found online, their use is entirely the responsibility of the end user. We strongly advise against using extension cables, as they often do not meet the required safety and quality standards. A poor-quality cable can lead to serious safety risks, such as overheating or damage to the charging station or vehicle. Safety is paramount when dealing with the high power levels involved in charging electric vehicles.
We do not offer alternative cables and do not modify standard cables. If a customer prefers a different cable, a charging station with a socket model is an option, allowing the purchase of a separate cable of choice.
If you have further questions about installation or the use of a charging cable, feel free to contact our customer service for more information and advice.
